Description

Paulin® Carriage Bolt, Full Threaded, Series: 129, Measurement System: Imperial, 3/8 in Thread, 6 in Length Under Head, Low Carbon Steel, 2 Grade, Bright, 6 in Thread Length, UNC Thread

Grade 2 Zinc Plated Carriage Bolts are available in partially and fully threaded lengths. They are also referred to as shaker screen bolts. These bolts feature a low-profile head equipped with a square neck, designed to prevent rotation when the nut is either tightened or loosened. They are commonly used in joining wood to wood or wood to metal. They are characterized by their smooth, round head that offers a clean, finished appearance. The bolts are zinc-coated, providing them with excellent resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial use. Regarding strength, Grade 2 carriage bolts can handle a minimum tensile strength of 64,000 pounds per square inch (p.s.i.) for sizes up to 5/8-inch, and 55,000 p.s.i. for 3/4-inch diameters. They are distinguished by the absence of radial lines or markings on the head and are manufactured using low carbon steel.
