Socket Head Cap Screws are ideal for applications in which there is not enough space to maneuver wrenches or sockets and have an internal-wrenching drive, such as a hex socket. Also known as socket head bolts. Bare finish fasteners have very low corrosion resistance. This is a good choice for indoor use or when protection from the elements is not an issue. The installation and removal of these screws require Allen keys or hex wrenches, tools that fit into the screw's head, allowing for a secure engagement.
