Description
Paulin® Papco® Lock Nut, Standard, Series: Keps® 119, Measurement System: Imperial, 1/4-20 Thread, Carbon Steel, Zinc Plated, Stop Style, 7/16 in Width Across Flats
A Keps nut, also referred to as a k-lock nut or washer nut, features a built-in, freely rotating external tooth lock washer. This configuration is designed to simplify the assembly process and enhance resistance to vibrations and loosening. When the nut is tightened, the teeth of the lock washer penetrate the bearing surface, securing the nut in place. Typically, the lock washer is a star-shaped ring with teeth that face outward, gripping the mating surface to prevent the nut from turning. Zinc plated fasteners have good corrosion resistant qualities and are a good choice for indoor, outdoor and industrial applications.
