The most heavy duty of coated abrasive discs, full resin bond on vulcanized (cotton fibers treated under intense pressure and heat) fiber backing. Designed for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending. Used with back up pads on portable angle grinders. Bevel, blend, deburr and remove stock with this Blaze F980 coarse grit fiber disc mounted on your grinder or sander. Made with a 100% alumina micro-fracturing grain that continuously exposes sharper grain edges, the disc provides a significantly increased cut rate and life compared to competitive blended or low ratio ceramic alumina discs. A heavy fiber backing minimizes tears and provides strength, while the self-lubricating grinding aid treatment keeps the disc cool during cutting, even when working with stainless steel, high alloy steels, titanium and other hard-to-grind surfaces.
