The most heavy duty of coated abrasive discs, full resin bond on vulcanized (cotton fibers treated under intense pressure and heat) fiber backing. Designed for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending. Used with back up pads on portable angle grinders. Clean, detail and remove rust from cast iron and soft carbon steels with this Red Heat® F981 medium grit fiber disc. Its next generation ceramic alumina abrasive makes fast, cool grinds and the heavy fiber backing provides significant improvements in strength and tear-resistance. This disc's advanced resin bond technology enhances grain adhesion and extends its useful life. Use this fiber disc on your right angle grinder or pistol grip air sander.
