A loudspeaker or speaker is an electroacoustic transducer which converts an electrical audio signal into a corresponding sound. Speakers are typically housed in a speaker enclosure or speaker cabinet. The purpose of a speaker is to amplify the input audio signal multiple times. The output can be controlled through a volume control.
