Residential Heat Pump Split Systems

A residential heat pump split system that uses refrigerant as the heat exchange fluid and has an evaporator, compressor, and condenser as separate components. In most modern applications, the compressor and condenser are combined into a single piece of equipment called a condensing unit. Refrigerant piping, custom-designed to meet the physical requirements of each individual application, connects the system components.
