Poly-V belt is a single continuous belt, used to drive multiple peripheral devices in a drive such as an alternator, power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor and air pump. Poly-V belt drive consumes less space, by using a single wider Poly-V belt instead of a multiple standard belts, the belt may be put under increased tension without stretching. Higher tension reduces slip, which increases the belt life and mechanical efficiency.
